Behind the Screens: A sneak peek of the different implementation options

 Anna Boyle

In today’s Sneak Peek, we’re diving into one of the most exciting updates of the learning portal refresh: the flexible implementation options! This change has been designed to make the platform even more adaptable to how you’re using it in the real world - whether you’re teaching in a structured, teacher-led environment or looking for something more flexible to suit different classroom needs.

Let’s take a look at the updated screens that convey the implementation models and the thought process behind this update.

Implementation Options

Take a look at the implementation options pop up (accessible directly from the dashboard), which clearly outlines the main models for Breaking the Code and Integrating the Markup.

Taking Real-World Use Into Account

When we started rethinking the learning portal refresh we took a step back and thought about how the platform was being used in real-life classrooms. Teachers were adapting the program in ways we hadn’t fully anticipated – some were sticking to the traditional, structured approach, while others were looking for more flexibility to adjust to varying classroom dynamics.

We listened carefully to this feedback, as well as feedback from schools using the product in different educational environments, and worked to make the interface reflect those real-world needs. The result? A redesigned interface that makes it simpler to choose the right model for any classroom environment.

Now, whether you’re delivering instruction in a more structured way or need flexibility to meet your students' needs, the platform can adjust to fit your workflow — and we’ve made sure the experience is seamless.

Why This Matters

One of the most important goals with this update is to give teachers guidance, as well as choice and control over how they implement the program. By providing both structured and flexible options, we’re allowing you to choose what works best for you and your students, while still offering the support and resources needed to ensure success.

  • Teacher-Led (Structured Lessons): Ideal for teachers wanting a schedule to follow
  • Flexible: Perfect for teachers who want flexibility to choose the most appropriate activities for their students/cohorts, and have HQIM ready to convert.

By creating two clear options, we’re making it easier for educators to adapt the platform to their unique teaching environments — without feeling locked into one approach or the other.
