This program is designed for students who:

  • Are reading below grade level

  • Struggle with decoding or fluency

  • Have dyslexia or language-based learning differences

  • Need additional support building reading confidence

  • Benefit from structured, explicit reading instruction

Program Requirements 

  • Entering 2nd grade or above (Fall 2026)

  • 10-week commitment between June–August

  • Minimum 2 sessions per week

  • Minimum 30 minutes per session

  • Program runs from early June through late August 

  • In-person or online options available

How It Works 

 

STEP 1: PERSONALIZED ONBOARDING

Students begin with an intake process to help identify current reading strengths and areas for growth.

 

STEP 2: MATCHED WITH EXPERT TUTOR

Families are paired with a highly trained Brooklyn Letters tutor experienced in literacy intervention.

 

STEP 3: READABLE ENGLISH INSTRUCTION

Students receive targeted instruction using the Readable English methodology to strengthen decoding, fluency, and comprehension.

 

STEP 4: BUILD CONFIDENCE & MOMENTUM

With consistent support throughout the summer, students gain the skills and confidence needed for the new school year.
