Templeton Elementary School Results

Templeton Elementary School has been using Readable English since 2018. This Report shows the results from both the 2018/2019 school year and the 2019/2020 school year.

2018/2019 School Year

Exact Path Results

In the 2018/2019 school year, the Readable English program was taught to 22 struggling readers across Grades 3-6 for a 6-month period

In 6 months, struggling readers across all grades achieved on average 2.5 grade levels of growth.

Read-3 Test

Students who had been taught Readable English also out-performed non-Readable English students in passing the IREAD-3 test. (IREAD-3 measures the foundational reading skills of students at the end of their grade 3 school year.)

Students who were further behind in Tier 3 surpassed the Tier 2 students in passing the IREAD-3 test.

2019/2020 School Year

After achieving positive results in the 2018/2019 school year, struggling readers from Grades 3 and 4 were taught Readable English in the 2019/2020 school year. The below results show students’ Fall to Winter Growth (the last assessment before schools closed due to COVID-19).

While non-Readable English students performed as would be expected, Readable English students far exceeded the expected reading growth as set by Exact Path.
