You must allow the browser extension to access our authorization server so it can validate your Readable English credentials.
When you use the Readable Web browser extension it first checks to see if you are an authorized Readable English user by contacting our authorization server. If the extension was unable to establish a connection to our server then it will open up this page in a new tab. The most likely problem is that the extension has not been given the permission to access our server. To grant permission, please follow the instructions below depending on you browser (Chrome or Safari).
Safari
Open up Settings by clicking on "Safari" in the top window menu and then "Settings...". In the popup window click on the "Websites" icon. On the left bar scroll to the bottom where you will see "Readable Web" under "Extensions" and click it. Insure that you have selected "Allow" next to "auth.readablenglish.com" under the "Configured Websites" section in the main panel, as seen below:
Chrome
In the toolbar, to the right of the search/address bar, click on the puzzle piece icon and then "Manage Extensions". In the "Readable Web" tile, click on "Details". Insure that "On all sites" is selected under the "site access" section.
If the extension is still not working, please click on the "Site Settings" and then "Reset Permission". If you need further assistance, please contact us.
