What are the Listening Comprehension audio types?

There are three types of audio students will be listening to while taking the Listening Comprehension benchmark assessment.

Dialogue

Two people talking. Either two children, one child, and one adult, or two adults. Each Dialogue type passage has one question: main idea or an inference. 

Narrative

Either descriptive or explanatory factual information about a topic of interest to school students, or narrative fiction. It sounds something like an audiobook - a written text read aloud. Each Narrative type passage has there questions: main idea, specific detail, and inference.

Teacher Talk

Descriptive or explanatory factual information about a topic of interest to school students. It sounds like a teacher presenting information to a class in real-time. Each Teacher Talk passage type has three questions: main idea, specific detail, and inference.
